  1. New Beauty Salon

When I arrive in a new country one of my priorities is find the best hair stylist or my hair. A lovely friend introduced me to Tara Rose in KCA 18 months ago and I have been going there ever since both for my hair needs but also manicures and pedicures and other beauty needs. Yesterday the lovely Tara opened her latest salon in a beautiful spot in Marasy, Tower 4 next to Al Bateen Marina. I was so lucky to have my man/ped appointment transferred to the new salon and I have to say it is absolutely gorgeous. The decor is the beautiful pale wedgewood blue together with Tara's trademark mirrors in white. The nails section sits in a quiet little corner opposite the wash basins which have the most amazing lie down "beds" while you have your hair washed. My nails looked amazing as always done by the lovely Dina and I was so excited when Tara asked if I would like to come back today to have my hair cut and coloured again bringing forward my appointment by a few days. I was so well looked after by ALL the lovely staff at the new salon and came out with a gorgeous new coloured and cut hairstyle. Often there are posts on FB Groups asking for a good stylist and 100% for me it is Tara and her team of highly trained stylists who will make you feel like a million dollars when you leave the salon and now for those who felt KCA was a long way to travel there is now TARA ROSE, TOWER 4, BLOOM MARINA, MARASY for everyone living in or very near the city, please go along and have a lovely few hours and support the best hair salons in AD

  11. Paints, bruhes, canvas everything for the artist might be worth a wander around
  12. What about the arts shop in Butik Mall on Reem Island
  13. Trips out to places of interest

Trip to Al Ain would be nice. The trips would be once a month and we will hire a mini bus, probably in a morning depending on how far we have to travel, obviously it may be the whole day on occasions. The Grand Mosque does guided tours so if there is enough interest we could organise one of those. Can I have thoughts on this restaurant for lunch on Monday 10th October, its been recommended a few times and is in Venetian Village http://www.venetianvillage.ae/todd-englishs-olives/
  14. Hi ladies, I have been asked to see how much interest there would be in organising a monthly trip to somewhere of interest now the weather is cooling down. I would love to hear your thoughts and ideas on where you would like to go and see. To start with we have been given:- 1. Blue Souq(Central Souq) in Sharjah. 2, Friday Market in Fujairah ( need to enquire more into this about distance) 3. A trip to Madinat Zayed, Abu Dhabi to the material shops and other interesting finds 4. Day trip to Hatta Fort for lunch 5. Dubai Mall 6. Butterfly Park in Dubai To start us off I think it would be lovely to get together for lunch on Monday 10th October, a few of us have already confirmed (venue to be confirmed) where we can all wear something pink and perhaps bring a little gift of something pink to put in a bran tub to give to each other and to let us remember those lovely friends and family who are battling, lost and surviving breast cancer. We all know someone. We cannot fundraise for this worthy cause but we can remember and raise a glass to those very brave ladies. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I look forward to lots of great suggestions on where to go on our trips. I will get back to you very soon for the venue and time on Monday 10th October
  15. Coffee Morning
