Orthopaedic Paediatrician - Any Recommendations

Recommended Posts

two, three years ago the common recommendation was "see a specialist back home", even - if off-the-record - from doctors. haven't looked into it since. if your questions was regarding feet, I'd have a contact for you, but general orthopaedics, no.

you might have a look at Dubai as well...

Health Plus Al Bateen (which started off as "Diabetic& Endocrinology" but know has other departments as well, our pediatrician is there) - they have a podiatric clinic and do all sorts of shoes and insole, also for kids. The two ladies there (one from Germany, one from NZ??? ) seemed very knowledgable, and are good with small kids.

There is also Dr Joerg Stoebel aka "George Stobel", www.chiropodydubai.com, he used to come to Gulf Diagnostic Center once a week - but this was 3y ago.

If there is a bigger problem they can't handle, they wlil tell you.

Have you tried Exeter Medical Center Bone and Joint Health? They seem to have visiting orthopedic pediatricians, but I have no personal experience. They're behind Gulf Diagnostic.

I think the new health point in ZSC has pediatric orthopaedics and the German pediatrician Dr Latha that we saw there was lovely. I also had a good experience with the orthopaedic surgeon at Harley St, Dr Hans who saved the day after al noor misdiagnosed my 11 yr old with a sprain.
